Back-to-School Raffle Just for Teachers

The Asombro Institute for Science Education increases K-12 students' science literacy by providing engaging, place-based programs for more than 22,000 local students each year in classrooms and on field trips. These programs enhance students' excitement about learning, their understanding of science, and their awareness about the unique desert ecosystem. After participating in Asombro's award-winning programs, many students begin to consider careers in science, technology, engineering, and math.

As a small nonprofit organization, our success depends on the generosity of donors like you. Asombro's award-winning programs garner numerous competitive grants, but a critical piece of our fundraising puzzle is the 25% of our funding that comes from donations.

Raffle Prizes:

• Asombro classroom visits (for groups in the Las Cruces area): 1 hour hands-on, science lessons about the desert we live in and current research happening here!
• Asombro Anywhere class kits: Hands-on activities exploring the science of the desert. Follow along with our videos to complete science experiments and model desert phenomena with tools from the accompanying student kits.
• Gift Cards: Treat yourself or your classroom with a gift card to Alpha Teaching Tools or Amazon!

Raffle Rules:

• Raffle tickets cost $20.
• Buy five raffle tickets, get one free.
• Winners must be a teacher, educator, administrator, or part of a homeschool family/group.
• Tickets can be purchased by someone else in the name of a teacher, educator, administrator, or part of a homeschool family/group.
• Ticket sales will go through August 31st, 2024.
• Winners will be drawn and contacted by email on September 1st, 2024.
